The elongated cell structure increases the ink transfer range, providing a more stable ink transfer range, and increases lines per inch (LPI) and ink volume capacity (BCM). With eCell technology, printers can select a higher screen count than traditional 60-degree hexagonal engravings while maintaining ink volume per cell without reducing lines per inch (LPI).
