Glass epoxy resin laminated boards excel in insulation, moisture resistance, mechanical strength, and dimensional stability, making them suitable for applications such as FPC reinforcement boards, various device components, and insulating plates. Additionally, depending on the environment in which they are used, there is a lineup that includes general types (G-10) as well as flame-retardant types (FR-4). Myojo Electric has extensive experience in router processing of glass epoxy laminated boards. Router processing does not require the initial costs associated with mold production, as seen in mold press processing, and can accommodate short lead times, making it suitable for prototypes, small lots, and low-volume, diverse production. Furthermore, by selecting the thickness of the router bit and adjusting the rotation speed through Numerical Control, the finish of the cutting surface becomes smooth. This case involves NC router processing of glass epoxy, with partial tape bonding. The tape bonding to the glass epoxy is managed to minimize misalignment by using dedicated jigs for the bonding process.
