The work is shaped by a foam roller attached to the roller head. The roller head is driven at a servo-controlled stroke speed and an optimal rotation speed. Due to the minimal downward force, it is possible to shape thin-walled parts. Material crushing and bulging are almost eliminated, allowing for shaping into the desired form. Since the final shape can be controlled, sealing is also possible. The roller head and foam roller are custom-made each time according to the workpiece and its dimensions, including the number of rollers, rotation speed, and the shape of the foam roller.
