A roundness measuring machine that thoroughly incorporates the requests of field engineers.
Measurement of "Relative Surface Eccentricity, Outer Diameter Eccentricity, and Asphericity" of Aspheric Lenses 【Basic Concept】 Improving work efficiency and productivity in aspheric lens production - A reference for spherical surfaces is established on the axis of the adjustment table, allowing for high-precision and high-speed measurement of outer diameter runout, eccentricity, and asphericity. - By measuring the outer diameter of the mold and the inner diameter of the barrel, feedback is provided for clearance design. ◆ Applying roundness measurement technology to enhance quality and productivity from the design stage In addition to the basic performance of roundness measuring instruments, a function has been developed to align axisymmetric aspheres at the center of the adjustment table. With the part program creation wizard, it has become easy to measure the eccentricity of aspheric molds and lenses, which was previously challenging. *For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.

**Technology for Measuring Roundness** Roundness, Outer Diameter, Inner Diameter, Eccentricity **Measurement Targets** Aspheric Lenses, Spherical Lenses, Molds, Cylindrical Shapes **Measurement Items** Aspheric Lenses (Relative Surface Eccentricity, Outer Diameter Eccentricity, As) Spherical Lenses (Spherical Center, Lens Center Position, Outer Diameter Center Position, Eccentricity) Molds (Roundness, Outer Diameter, Inner Diameter, Eccentricity, Flange, Bottom Surface) ◆ Automation of Workpiece Alignment Adjustment for Increased Efficiency Alignment adjustments are performed automatically. This reduces the hassle and errors associated with manual adjustments, allowing for a reduction in work time. Additionally, the fixation method uses suction, eliminating the need to prepare jigs for each lens.

◆Measurement of aspheric lens surface characteristics (waviness, roughness) in the nm order Using flatness data obtained in concentric circles during a 5-minute eccentricity measurement, it is possible to evaluate asphericity in the nm order. Previously, due to the long measurement time, cross-sectional measurements were used as a substitute, but accurately scanning the maximum position of asphericity was difficult. Shortening the measurement of eccentricity and asphericity, which were previously conducted through sampling inspections and mold guarantees, allows for numerous measurements, significantly enhancing product and design quality. ◆The necessary fixtures and stylus for measurement are inexpensive and have a short lead time There is no need for dedicated fixtures for each lens; the lens is simply adhered to the fixture. The cost of the fixtures required for measurement can be covered with just one set, leading to cost reductions. Additionally, standard roughness measurement styluses from Mitutoyo are used, making them inexpensive and easy to replace even when worn out. A single stylus can measure both glass and carbide without causing scratches (achieving a low measurement pressure of 0.75 mN in all directions).
