This is a device for performing outer cylindrical grinding of hard and brittle materials such as glass, crystal, and various ceramics using a disc-shaped diamond grinding wheel.

The compact device design allows for processing workpieces ranging in size from 60 to 200 mm. It is also equipped with an adjustment function to prevent the workpiece from becoming tapered. (Precision adjustment is possible up to about 5/1000 mm.) It can process both rod and sliced materials. The bonding methods for sliced workpieces are compatible with both fat bonding and water bonding.
