When the flow rate is constant, the coolant accelerates in velocity due to the Venturi effect created by the difference in cross-sectional area at the ring outlet after passing through the coolant hole, accurately reaching the cutting edge. By accurately reaching the cutting edge, the coolant significantly lowers the cutting edge temperature, reducing cutting resistance by 20-50%, and is particularly effective for machining difficult-to-cut materials.
