We will fully utilize the world-class quartz-based optical waveguide manufacturing technology held by the NTT Group to provide contract manufacturing of optical waveguide wafers and various wafer processing services. Using a 6-inch (150mm) line, we can accommodate individual contract processing for each step, including glass film deposition, fine etching, and metal film deposition and processing. We are responsible for supplying optical communication components necessary for rapidly growing cloud services, and we utilize our world-class quartz-based optical waveguide manufacturing technology to produce optical components tailored to our customers' needs, as well as providing various wafer processing services (foundry services). Our company was established in April 2017 as a joint venture by NTT Electronics Corporation (now NTT Innovative Devices Corporation) and Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. with the aim of building a stable and efficient manufacturing system for planar lightwave circuits (PLC).
