basic information
Matter Overview Matter is a new IoT ecosystem specification initiated by Amazon, Apple, Google, and the Zigbee Alliance. It was subsequently developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) to support interoperability among smart home devices connected via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread, and Ethernet. Based on the IPv6 protocol, Matter operates on a zero-trust approach, ensuring that only authorized users can access and control smart home devices, while providing ease of use within the smart home and protecting consumers from cyber attacks.
