Non-contact high durability and high precision position sensor!
Piher's inductive sensors are non-contact position sensors. These sensors utilize the principle of induction between a coil and a metal target, eliminating the need for complex internal structures like those found in resolvers. Since the inductive coil is largely unaffected by external magnetic fields, there is no need for large shielding like that required for resolvers, allowing for a compact and lightweight design. Additionally, while resolvers use brushes and slip rings that can wear out and cause malfunctions, Piher's inductive sensors detect without contact, preventing wear and providing maintenance-free, stable accuracy over long periods. By using an analog output that does not require additional circuits or processing, simple systems can be easily built with just the sensor, and it is also less susceptible to noise and delays during output processing. The sensors can handle high-speed rotations, providing accurate detection at speeds of up to 600,000 rpm.

Company information
The main segments where Chronix is active are semiconductors and electronic components for industrial, space, and defense applications. In the industrial sector, they sell CCD cameras and lenses in the machine vision field, as well as infrared detectors. For space semiconductors, they provide technology trends from major European manufacturers (such as SOFRADIR, Atmel, 3d plus, etc.), and sales of MIL components are also growing at competitive prices.
