At the same time, it is smaller and lighter than asynchronous motors, and more durable and cost-effective than standard servo motors. ■Complete Encoderless Even without an encoder in the motor itself, the rotational speed error is less than 1%, and the positioning accuracy is ±1°. Since it does not use an encoder, it can be safely used in the harsh environments of manufacturing sites, achieving the dynamic movements required for automation. ■Only One Cable A major advantage of the encoderless lean motor is that it can be continuously adjusted with just one commercially available power cable. There is no need to add shielding. This reduces installation and wiring work, minimizes the size of cable trays and control panel openings, and leads to cost savings. ■Durable and Cost-Effective Option Since the lean motor does not use an encoder, the only wiring required is one commercially available power cable. There is no need for conductor shielding. As a result, it can lead to cost savings of up to 30% compared to servo motors of the same class.
