We would like to introduce a case study regarding packaging consulting for foldable pads used for small precision machinery. A precision equipment manufacturer faced significant fluctuations in the demand for their packaged precision equipment, requiring them to secure a number of cushioning materials that accounted for the risk of increased product shipment volumes, which necessitated large warehouse space. After improvements, by folding out the so-called "legs" from a flat single cushioning material and securely fixing it with protruding details, it quickly transformed into the upper and lower pad shapes for use, achieving a 75% reduction in space compared to the volume ratio of the shape during storage.
