Is the cause of the pinhole in that blade too? Let's review the blade to improve printing defects! We have a lineup that can meet your needs!
We would like to introduce the "Doctor Blade" that we handle. This is the doctor blade used in pad printing (also known as pad printing or tampography). While it may not be something you consciously think about, reevaluating the doctor blade is one of the important factors in improving print quality. At Tokushu Abe Seihanjo, we offer four types of doctor blades. Please choose the blade that suits your usage conditions. We also provide sample products. basic information
【Parallel Blade t=0.3mm】 There is no fluctuation in the edge thickness due to wear, allowing for stable scraping. (See image) The scraping pressure is weaker compared to the triangular blade, but it enables stable printing for long periods. It is also suitable for those who want to use the plate for a long time or for use with resin plates. 【Triangular Blade t=0.3mm】 It allows for scraping with a stronger force compared to the parallel blade. It is suitable for situations where quick startup is needed or for printing large-sized plates. 【Triangular Blade t=0.5mm】 It allows for scraping with even stronger force than the 0.3t thick blade. It is suitable for situations where quick startup is desired or for printing large-sized plates. 【Triangular Blade t=0.9mm】 Material: SUS The deflection of the blade is minimized, allowing for uniform scraping with a small amount of force. It is suitable for solid printing, high-viscosity inks, and printing large-sized plates.

**About the Difference in Blade Edge Shapes** The difference between triangular blades and parallel blades is similar to the difference between pencils and mechanical pencils. Triangular blades are overwhelmingly used for doctor blades in pad printing. The advantage of triangular blades is that they can apply a stronger scraping pressure, but they also have the disadvantage of being more susceptible to changes in scraping pressure due to edge wear and causing greater damage to the plate. In contrast, parallel blades are much less likely to experience changes in scraping pressure due to edge wear, providing stability over long periods. If the plate size is around 100 to 200, we recommend using parallel blades. This will extend the lifespan of the plate and make setup significantly easier. **Solve Troubles with the t=0.9 Blade!** If you are struggling with issues such as uneven solid printing, interference between the design and blade direction, or being unable to eliminate pinholes and fuzz, please give the t0.9 blade a try. Compared to other thin blades, it is overwhelmingly less prone to bending, which can help resolve the aforementioned troubles.
