Alcohol-resistant, solvent-soluble yellow oil-soluble dye with absorption at 430nm.
Due to the widespread use of disinfectant alcohol following the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been instances where colors fade when wet hands come into contact with printed materials and writing instruments, leading to an increased demand for dyes and inks to have alcohol resistance. We conducted alcohol resistance tests using a coating made with our yellow dye, OPTIMA YELLOW 6101.

basic information
■Color Transfer Test on Paper <1. Coating Sample Preparation> Dyes were dissolved in a solvent and mixed with clear lacquer to create a coating solution, which was applied to paper. <2. Color Transfer Testing Method> Disinfectant alcohol (approximately 70% ethanol solution) was sprayed on the coating samples (left: OPTIMA YELLOW 6101, right: competitor's yellow dye) and left for 30 seconds. A white paper was then placed on top to check for color transfer (see photo 1 above). <3. Experimental Results> Color transfer was observed with the competitor's yellow dye, but OPTIMA YELLOW 6101 showed almost no coloring, confirming its strong alcohol resistance.
