[Technical Proposal Example] Consideration of product length and width to reduce warping through R-bending processing.
We will introduce an example where increasing the fold width reduces warping!
We will introduce a case that reduces warping caused by R-bending processing, taking into account the product length and width. When bending with a small R, local heating occurs, causing the heated area to expand and resulting in warping outside of the heated area. This is particularly pronounced in shapes with a small return width. The guideline for the return width that can suppress warping is proportional to the product length. Therefore, when designing bent products with a small R, it is recommended to consider the return width and product length. 【Case Overview】 ■Issue: Warping occurs outside of the heated area when bending with a small R. ■Countermeasure: Consideration of return width and product length. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Since its establishment in 1975 in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, we have been engaged in consistent production from processing to assembly using plastic sheets (boards) as raw materials. The production using plastic sheets is suitable for small to medium-sized, diverse production or prototypes, and is utilized in various fields such as the interiors and exteriors of large vehicles and special vehicles, production equipment in high-tech fields, parts for machine tools, medical device components, aircraft parts, fixtures for commercial facilities, displays for museums, and building materials for exteriors. We mainly use acrylic, PVC, polycarbonate, PET, PP, PE, ABS, AES, and artificial marble. We primarily perform vacuum forming, pressure forming, R bending, adhesive welding, NC processing, and polishing with the above resins. Among these, we have focused on thermal processing since our founding. Thermal processing methods such as R bending and vacuum forming require not only equipment but also experience and intuition. In particular, R bending of transparent materials like polycarbonate has received high praise from many clients. Additionally, our vacuum forming is suitable for large items and small lot production of diverse products due to its single-shot forming capability. In our daily production, we always maintain a commitment and theme, continuously striving for improvement and enhancing our vacuum forming technology without being satisfied with the current state.
