Directly converting underutilized plant-derived resources into energy storage materials for effective use.
Make effective use of waste materials! Let's power cars and smartphones with plant-based resources.
Our company creates porous negative electrode materials from components of underutilized plant-derived resources. Using agricultural residues (such as rice husks) as an example, we extract valuable substances, ultimately obtaining silicon (Si) and carbon (C) that inherit the morphological characteristics of the crops. By using this same plant-derived Si and C, we can produce Si/C nano-composites in a direct one-step process without using external carbon sources, resulting in conductive porous nanostructures that are expected to be utilized as electrode materials for batteries. [Future Developments/Suggestions] ■ Development of value-added materials, applications in catalysis, adsorption, etc. ■ Utilizing extracted valuable substances as precursors for producing final products with silica and carbon components. ■ Using extracted valuable substances as precursors for hybridizing with other materials to manufacture high-performance materials. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
