We would like to introduce a case study in collaboration with Cutting Edge Coatings GmbH (CEC) regarding the introduction of the Neo series spectroradiometer for the development of ion beam sputtering (IBS) deposition systems. During the coating process, the absolute transmittance of the generated layers, meaning the filters being manufactured, constantly changes with each layer produced. Therefore, it is crucial to obtain reliable and predictably linear responses from the spectrometer, even if the transmittance values are low. To address this challenge, the adoption of the new Neo spectroradiometer platform has enabled the produced filters to meet stricter tolerances.
