An experiment was conducted to heat an FRP material board at a 45° angle against the upward flame of the burner. This photo shows the FRP board that was not treated in any way.

This photo shows an FRP board coated with flame-retardant paint, tested under the same conditions as above. Even when exposed to high temperatures, the paint film can foam, helping to suppress the spread of flames.
