A relatively inexpensive and highly reliable CAN logger, widely compatible with CAN/LIN/100BASE-T1, primarily used in in-vehicle networks. The CANedge series from CSS is relatively inexpensive and features a compact palm-sized housing that includes a 2-channel CAN logger and RTC. Data can be collected on an SD card, and depending on the model, it is also possible to collect data via WiFi/3G/4G. Configuration is easy. The CANedge2 has a GPS model, while the CANedge3 comes equipped with a GPS model by default. The System-XS from STAR is also palm-sized and allows for the selection of 1CH/2CH for CAN/LIN/SENT depending on the model, with the option for 1CH configuration for 100BASE-T1 as well. It supports PTP / IEEE1588v2 and includes digital IO (DIO) and analog IO ports, making it not just a logger but also capable of simulations using the free FL3X Config BASIC software.
