Noise regulation for ships solved with soundproof rooms! Introducing the noise level measurement results from Deck B.
We would like to introduce the sea trial data for the 'Soundproof Room Malie' handled by Akasaka Iron Works Co., Ltd. In July 2018, the soundproof room Malie was installed on a vessel subject to noise regulations. The noise reduction effect of this product was confirmed during the sea trial. The measured noise level on Deck B at 82% load showed that the product installed on the port side was approximately 5 decibels quieter than the general noise control room located at the corresponding position on the starboard side. (This corresponds to about 1/3 of the acoustic energy ratio.)
