With an IP67 waterproof rating, it can be safely used outdoors. Since satellite positioning requires at least four satellites, stable positioning is expected with Michibiki's future system of seven satellites. Of course, it can also receive signals from satellites like GPS and GLONASS, allowing it to receive a wide range of frequency bands with just this one device.
