The explosion suppression system (AIS-P) detects the onset of an explosion pressure rise and rapidly disperses a suppression agent to extinguish the flames and inert the surrounding space. As a result, the rising pressure is interrupted (pressure suppression). This means that even though an explosion may have been about to occur in the process, it can be brought to an end without leaving any traces.
