Forming difficult groove shapes in forging! Guarantees internal hardness of 15 to 25 HRC!
▼Issues - The oil reservoir (oil groove section) on the flange end face is a difficult shape that is not typically produced by forging. - We want to manufacture it by forging to maintain strength (and reduce costs). - We would like to guarantee an internal hardness of 15 to 25 HRC. ▼Solutions - To shape the groove by forging, we conducted multiple trials to finalize the shape of the previous process. - Regarding the guarantee of internal hardness, we collaborated with the customer and the heat treatment manufacturer to create data on the correlation between surface hardness and internal hardness through product destruction testing. We guaranteed internal hardness based on surface hardness. - Our company was the only one able to guarantee internal hardness with the material S35C for the material shaping of the oil reservoir (oil groove section). ▼Specifications Material: S35C Weight: 1.63 kg Dimensions: Φ113×95.2 mm Accuracy: -0.5 to +1.5 mm (general tolerance) Equipment: 2500-ton forging press Quantity: 100 to 3,000 pieces/month ▼Molds We handle everything from mold design to mold manufacturing and maintenance in-house. Not only do we manufacture forged products, but we also undertake mold design, which allows us to maintain product accuracy.
