1) You don't need an expensive scanner. You can scan using smartphone scanner apps like Scaniverse or PolyCam and export in FBX or GLB format. 2) Load the scanned data into XRLiteEditor. In XRLiteEditor, you can change the viewpoint, add annotations, link buttons, and set transparency to create a "scene" and generate a VRL file. You can also load 3D CAD data, not just 3D scan data, into XRLiteEditor. 3) Transfer the VRL file created in XRLiteEditor with the scanned data to your iPad and view it using XRLiteViewer. No internet connection is required, so it can be used in any environment.

The annotations that can be granted are "Text (sticky note)", "Web link (including deep link)", and "Image". If an application that supports deep links is installed on the iPad, it can be launched from XRLiteViewer. Additionally, you can launch XRLiteViewer to display any VRL file from a QR code. You can easily display equipment information and maintenance procedures in XRLiteViewer from the QR code attached on-site.
