It is a gas sensor that has high selectivity for hydrogen.
The gas sensor element consists of a metal oxide semiconductor formed on an alumina substrate along with an integrated heater, and is housed in a standard T0-5 package. When detectable gases are present, the conductivity of the sensor increases as the concentration of that gas in the air rises. Using a simple electrical circuit, this change in conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The TGS2616-C00, equipped with a newly developed gas sensor element, shows reduced influence from interfering gases such as alcohol and exhibits high selectivity sensitivity to hydrogen. ◆ For more details, please contact Figaro Engineering directly.
