Multi-collector ICP-MS "Neoma"
Thermo Scientific Neoma Multi-Collector ICP-MS
Multi-collector ICP-MS that expands the possibilities of isotope science research.
This is a multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (MC-ICP-MS) primarily for isotope ratio analysis of metal elements, such as IRMS. It is equipped with a powerful ICP ion source and can accommodate a wider range of elemental isotope ratio analyses compared to the Thermo Scientific TRITON series surface ionization mass spectrometers. ■ Key Features - Measurement of isotope ratios through alternating measurements of standards and samples - Capable of approaching isotope ratio analysis of elements such as hafnium (Hf) and tungsten (W), which are difficult to analyze with surface ionization mass spectrometers - Relatively easy sample processing - Short measurement time (approximately 20 minutes per sample) ■ MS/MS Option Paving the Way for New Isotope Science Research Can be equipped with a unique pre-mass filter and collision reaction cell option - Achieves separation of isobaric interferences - Realizes new approaches including laser ablation (LA)-MC-ICP-MS Expected Applications of the MS/MS Option - In-situ Rb-Sr dating and high-precision boron isotope ratio analysis that do not require chemical separation - Environmental radioactivity analysis through improved abundance sensitivity
