EPLAN Electric P8 is a 3D electrical design CAD solution specialized in streamlining electrical design for plants, machinery, equipment, and control panels. It standardizes electrical design, making design tasks, report creation, and management of design data easier. When creating circuit diagrams using general-purpose CAD, a lot of manual work occurs, such as preparing symbols, manually drawing connections between symbols, and copying and pasting parts lists into another software. The more manual work involved, the higher the probability of errors, which in turn increases the need for rework. EPLAN's comprehensive electrical design CAD aims to ease the design process by having software perform tasks that electrical designers used to do manually. Electric P8 Function Example ● Automatic Wiring Connection: When symbols are placed, the wiring between the symbols is automatically connected. If symbols are moved or copied, the wiring is automatically adjusted accordingly. There is no need to draw each wire individually. ● Macro Function: Frequently used combinations of circuit diagrams are tabulated, significantly improving the efficiency of circuit diagram creation. ● Cross-Reference Function: You can click to jump to the relevant location for mutual references between relays and contacts, as well as From-To connections in wiring. ● Drawing Error Check: It checks for inconsistencies in the drawing, such as missing components and duplicate numbering, and displays the locations of errors. ● Component Management in Database: Component information necessary for design is managed in a database along with Data Portal information. ● Translation Function: Bulk translation into 20 languages is possible. It is also possible to display multiple languages side by side in the drawing.
