The EnerDyne pen indicates the surface treatment level of polymer-based substrates and is designed to ensure that the material has been properly treated. Please treat the surface before applying inks, coatings, paints, or adhesives. The pen is available in dyne levels of 30/32/35/38/40/41/42/44/48/56/60/66. General guidelines: • Using excessive solution can result in inaccurate measurements. • The shelf life of dyne pens is typically 6 to 12 months. • Each pen is evaluated for the minimum dyne level determined by the ink. • Surface energy tests should be conducted immediately after treatment (air plasma, flame plasma, chemical plasma, RF gas). • Treated surfaces are time-sensitive and can be affected by environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. • Do not touch or contaminate the surface to be tested. Contaminated surfaces will lose wettability, so the test area must remain clean. • Do not use dirty or old pens. • Store and use the pen at room temperature.
