We will introduce an example where not only the texture of the leather surface but also the shape of the stitching has been reproduced using a mold!

We would like to introduce a case where a low-cost standard grade was produced using two-color molding, in contrast to a high-grade product made with hand-rolled fake leather. The large size of this part (approximately 1 meter) and the fact that soft resin is applied over the entire surface of the hard resin substrate posed significant challenges for product commercialization. Due to the difference in shrinkage rates between the two materials, the product deformed after molding, and the extent of this deformation far exceeded our expectations, which became a significant lesson for the subsequent design of our two-color molding molds.
