"Super Sol" is a lightweight material recycled from glass bottles and other sources. It is an amorphous, gravel-like artificial pumice made by crushing and sintering waste glass into particles ranging from 2 to 75 mm in size. Utilizing its characteristics such as lightweight, permeability, water retention, non-combustibility, and thermal insulation, it is used in a wide range of applications including civil engineering, greening, agriculture, water purification, and insulation. In particular, "Glass Foam Recycled Material - Super Sol" as a civil engineering material has a unit weight of about 4 kN/m3, which is approximately one-fifth that of conventional fill materials, making it very lightweight. **Features of Super Sol** ■ Eco-friendly and Soil Restorative The raw material of Super Sol is the commonly used "soda lime glass," with its main component being "silicon," which is abundant in Japanese soil. The remaining components are sodium and calcium, which are also found in everyday household products. Additionally, it is fired at a high temperature of about 900 degrees, making it a safe and reliable recycled material in a sterile state. ■ Permeability and Water Retention It helps control the permeability and water retention of the ground. Even during compaction, it excels in drainage. When used as drainage material or in planting soil, it contributes to creating an environment conducive to the growth of plants. ■ Easy to Work With, Ultra-lightweight Porous Material Super Sol is a porous material, weighing only 1/5 to 1/6 of soil. It allows for the differentiation of bubble types, enabling adjustments to performance and weight. By creating numerous voids, it becomes lightweight and very easy to handle.
