basic information
This is a method for measuring the number of viable bacteria after applying a sample (such as a disinfectant) to the surface of a test specimen and allowing a certain amount of time to pass. While the suspension method directly contacts the bacteria with the sample, the hard surface carrier method allows the bacteria to contact the sample through the test specimen. There are many requests for the suspension method to investigate the pure effects of the sample itself, but the hard surface carrier method is used when there is a specific need to confirm the effects through the test specimen.

Applications/Examples of results
**Testing Method** 1. Preparation of Test Bacterial Solution Suspend the test bacteria in physiological saline or similar to prepare the test bacterial solution. 2. Preparation of Test Specimens Prepare test specimens measuring 5 cm square. *Please specify the material of the test specimens. We can prepare synthetic resin (polypropylene), stainless steel (SUS304), or glass. For other materials, please consult us. If no specific preference is indicated, synthetic resin will be used.* 3. Inoculation of Test Bacterial Solution onto Test Specimens Inoculate the test bacterial solution onto each test specimen to achieve a concentration of 10^5 to 10^6 CFU. 4. Treatment of Test Specimens with Samples and Incubation Treat the test specimens with the provided samples and allow them to sit for a specified period. *The provided samples can be used as is or diluted with a specified concentration or solvent. It is also possible to dilute solid samples (such as powders). Purified water or similar can be used as a control. If you have a preferred control, please consult us.* *Treatment methods can include dripping, spraying, wiping, etc. Please specify the exact treatment method.* *Please specify the incubation time.* 5. Measurement and Evaluation of Viable Bacteria Count After incubation, recover the test bacteria from the test specimens using SCDLP liquid medium and measure the viable bacteria count.
