Applications/Examples of results
**Test Method** Place the control sample (cotton fabric) and the test sample (water-absorbent resin) in artificial urine and allow them to absorb for 30 minutes, measuring the weight before and after absorption to determine the pre-calculated water absorption amount. Take 0.20±0.02 g of both the test sample and the control sample, and inoculate with a quantity of test bacterial solution (prepared in artificial urine, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli) that corresponds to the pre-calculated water absorption amount. After inoculation, incubate at 36±2°C for 18 hours. After 18 hours of incubation, wash the test sample and the control sample with SCDLP liquid medium immediately after inoculation and after 18 hours of incubation, respectively, to measure the viable bacterial count. Compare the viable bacterial counts of the test sample and the control sample after 18 hours of incubation to evaluate antibacterial properties.
