Many automatic inserting and sealing machines used for direct mail (DM) are compatible with Arabic gum, which is frequently used in machine-inserted Western-style envelopes. The processing method involves applying the gum as the flap's tip is gradually shifted while passing through rollers in an unfolded state before being made into bags.
