We are conducting simulations related to press-fitting to thoroughly examine the effects caused by manufacturing variations in the micro-lens production process. We address manufacturing variations and different conditions, taking into account the stress distribution and deformation state during lens press-fitting. We particularly focus on the potential impact on optical performance and evaluate the variations affecting product yield in detail. The results obtained provide a concrete approach toward understanding the mechanisms of lens deformation caused by manufacturing variations and designing an optimal fitting structure.
