The "Drop Sensor II" is a device designed to prevent the falling of items from shelves during an earthquake. When it detects a set acceleration threshold, a protective bar with a bellows automatically activates. There are two types available: one that drops from the top and one that springs up from the bottom. Our previous model operated on AA batteries, but this model uses a dye-sensitized solar cell that generates power in low indoor light conditions, along with a lithium-ion capacitor, eliminating the need for battery or battery replacement.
