GGB seal-coated fiber-reinforced composite bearing (SBC)
Bearing cartridge with seal (SBC series)
Cartridge bearings with lip seals integrated into fiber-reinforced composite material bearings protect the sliding surfaces from contamination even in harsh environments!
Founded in the United States in 1899, GGB is a manufacturer of sliding bearings specializing in polymer and non-metallic friction technology. The fiber-reinforced composite bearings (FRC), made from epoxy resin and glass fibers, minimize wear on the sliding surface with filled PTFE fibers. The sealed type (SBC) protects the sliding surface from fine contaminants such as dirt and mud. <Reasons for Choosing Our Products> 1. No need for customers to select dry lip seals. 2. When replacing existing metal bushes, if the thickness of the FRC is insufficient, a zinc-plated metal shell can be used to fill the gap. 3. SBC uses the GAR-MAX or HSG from the FRC series. 4. Excellent bearing performance (high load, impact resistance, low friction, low wear, chemical resistance).

basic information
- Physical Properties (Excerpt of maximum values for FRC 9 products. Please refer to the catalog for details) Maximum Compressive Strength: 621 N/mm² Maximum Surface Pressure (Static): 415 N/mm² Maximum Surface Pressure (Dynamic): 140 N/mm² Maximum Surface Speed: 2.5 m/s Maximum Operating Temperature: 280 degrees Celsius - Reduction of System Costs GGB bearings reduce shaft costs by eliminating the need for hardened grease channels and machining. The compact, integrated structure saves space and reduces weight, simplifying assembly. - Low Friction, High Wear Resistance Due to the low coefficient of friction, they operate smoothly, reducing wear and extending service life while eliminating the need for lubricants. Additionally, they prevent the effects of stick-slip during startup. - Maintenance-Free GGB bearings are self-lubricating, making them ideal for applications requiring long bearing life without continuous maintenance, or operating conditions with insufficient or no lubricants. - Environmental Aspects GGB bearings, which do not use grease and contain no lead, comply with increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
