[Case Study of 3D CAD Software for Mechanical Design] JCCE Corporation
[Free Provision of Case Studies] Speed up conceptualization and detailed design while reusing existing data!
To JCC Engineering Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of capacitor manufacturing equipment, we would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "iCAD SX." In the design of capacitor manufacturing equipment, it is common to reuse design drawings of parts and units from past excellent devices. However, creating assembly drawings that combine as many as 2,000 parts can be quite challenging for designers, which led us to shift towards 3D design. As a result of implementing this product, the productivity of part drawings has improved to more than twice that of before, and even those who do not have knowledge of manufacturing equipment can create part drawings without making mistakes, eliminating the need for revisions. [Case Overview] ■ Reasons for Selection - As a mechanical CAD, it has good operability, allowing drawings to be displayed in space and enabling the direct use of that data to create three-dimensional shapes. - With a transparent base sheet that allows users to draw basic lines, even designers accustomed to 2D CAD can quickly start 3D design. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Company information
To support Japan's manufacturing, iCAD Corporation has developed the specialized 3D CAD software 'iCAD SX V8' focused on mechanical design. iCAD achieves high-speed response, handling 3 million parts in just 0.2 seconds, allowing for stress-free design consideration and verification of large-scale equipment and entire production lines that can consist of tens of thousands of components. By leveraging its ability to manage vast amounts of information, it is possible to accumulate and utilize the design information necessary for equipment development, including piping, wiring, and control (movement), all within a single CAD data set. This single data set can be used across various scenarios and departments, from design to manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance. This leads to a reduction in development lead time and an improvement in design quality.
