[Seminar] Ministry of the Environment: Key Points of the Sixth Basic Environmental Plan and Direction of Environmental Policy

Towards the improvement of 'well-being / high quality of life' through 'new growth'

We will hold a seminar titled "Ministry of the Environment: Key Points of the Sixth Basic Environmental Plan and Directions for Environmental Policy." On May 21, 2024, the Sixth Basic Environmental Plan was approved by the Cabinet. This plan follows the philosophy established since the First Plan while taking into account the current crises in the environment, economy, and society, and indicates the next steps for the integrated improvement of the environment, economy, and society centered around the environment. It also prioritizes the preservation of the environment and the "well-being/high quality of life" of each citizen, both now and in the future, as the highest objective. It emphasizes the importance of realizing "new growth" that raises both market and non-market values through the enhancement of the overall economy using "environmental value."
