Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism - Review of Business Practices, Improvement of Logistics Efficiency, Behavioral Changes of Shippers and Consumers
Our company will hold a seminar on "Logistics 2024 Problem and Specific Measures for Logistics Innovation." Logistics is a social infrastructure that supports the economy and people's lives, but truck drivers, who play a key role, face long working hours, low income, and a significant labor shortage. Amidst this situation, regulations on overtime work for drivers were introduced in April this year, raising concerns about further stagnation in logistics due to labor shortages. Estimates suggest a 14% shortage this year and a 34% shortage by 2030. In response to this "Logistics 2024 Problem," the government compiled a "Policy Package for Logistics Innovation" in June last year, and is comprehensively and integratively working together with the industry and the public to review business practices, improve logistics efficiency, and promote behavioral changes among shippers and consumers. This seminar will provide detailed explanations about the Logistics 2024 Problem and the government's initiatives.
