The HC001 series is a USB-type presence sensor that utilizes an infrared array sensor, unlike anything seen before. It divides the measurement area into 8×8 (64) sections, allowing for the measurement of infrared radiation emitted by individual heat sources (human bodies). This enables the detection of the number of people, their positions, and their movements within the area. Additionally, unlike pyroelectric presence sensors, it can detect even when a person is stationary, allowing for the measurement of their duration of stay.
