Minimizing the burden on dialysis patients with 'painless puncture'! Development of an innovative injection needle.
In dialysis treatment, the pain caused by puncturing with a needle as thick as a ballpoint pen is considered a major issue, and efforts have been made for some time to achieve "painless punctures" through ongoing research. Although technology has advanced, there is still room to reduce pain, focusing on the shape of the injection needle. For several years, we have been exploring manufacturing methods to realize an unprecedented special shape for the injection needle. The conventional manufacturing methods did not yield the ideal shape, leading us to consider production using a 3D printer, and we were contacted by your company. We spoke with the person in charge to understand the background of this initiative and how our company responded. *For detailed content of the interview, please refer to the related link.
