The product name "Surface Analyst" allows for precise and reproducible objective contact angle testing of material surfaces simply by pressing a button to execute automatic commands, enabling manufacturers to understand the surface condition of materials and fully control the adhesion process. As an authorized distributor of Brighton Science USA, we are selling a device that measures contact angles to determine surface cleanliness in the Japanese market. The surface analysis device drops highly purified water droplets onto the surface. It measures the contact angle within 2 seconds and determines the cleanliness level of the substrate. When the surface is clean, high energy is released, and water, being a high-energy molecule, spreads across the surface, attracted to other high-energy molecules (Figure 1). A contaminated surface releases low energy, causing water to be attracted to the water itself rather than low-energy surface molecules, resulting in droplets (Figure 2 in the catalog). By knowing the volume and area of the water droplet, we can determine the contact angle of water on a specific surface. The larger the contact angle, the more water droplets form on the surface, indicating a lower energy level of the surface.
