Electrification strategy, sector coupling, gas, offshore wind power, Power-to-X strategy
Our company will hold a seminar titled "Denmark's GX Policy and Efforts to Become a Hydrogen Exporting Country." Denmark has taken the lead by aiming for 100% renewable energy by 2050 since 2012, and it is actively working towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 70% compared to 1990 levels by 2030, and beyond carbon neutrality by 2050 to become a carbon-absorbing country. Already, over 80% of its electricity generation comes from renewable energy. As a world leader, Denmark has been engaged in offshore wind power and is constantly exploring ways to create a robust energy system that is both economically and energy-efficient, utilizing power markets and sector coupling. While electrification is key to green transformation, Denmark is also promoting the supply of green hydrogen as part of its GX initiatives, aiming to become a hydrogen exporting country.
