Our developed "Micro-Night" is a new nitriding treatment that achieves both corrosion resistance and wear resistance, unlike conventional nitriding processes. By nitriding at a low temperature below 400°C, the formation of Cr oxides in the nitrided layer (S phase) is suppressed, making it easier to form a passive Cr film.
