Test for detecting genetic mutations
Our company conducts tests to detect the mutagenicity of chemical substances using bacteria. We expose histidine-requiring Salmonella typhimurium and tryptophan-requiring Escherichia coli to several dose levels (usually more than five). Typically, experiments are conducted under two conditions: in the presence and absence of an exogenous metabolic activation system (S9 mix).
