We will introduce the process from order to delivery for the use of neutron beam irradiation services.
First, please consult us via email or phone, and we will set up a meeting. During the meeting, we will ask in detail about the purpose of the development, the desired traits, the development period, etc., and based on the content of the meeting, we will create a quote and a irradiation plan to propose. After making final adjustments to the irradiation plan and your breeding plan, including whether or not to conduct preliminary irradiation in accordance with your plan, we will proceed to the contract. We will carry out neutron irradiation according to the plan, and after verifying and evaluating the seeds or plants post-irradiation, we will deliver them to you. 【Service Flow】 1. Consultation 2. Meeting 3. Proposal of quote and irradiation plan 4. Confirmation of irradiation conditions 5. Irradiation → Verification and evaluation 6. Starting as a private company initiated by local volunteers under the proposal of the Ibaraki University Graduate School of Science and Engineering, we aim to develop a new technological domain that is globally competitive through collaboration between radiation-related facilities concentrated in Ibaraki Prefecture and the vibrant agriculture in the region. Our goal is to commercialize the use of neutrons for crop improvement, which, while considered effective among experts, had not been socially implemented, thereby contributing to the realization of a sustainable society. We have conducted repeated demonstration experiments, enabling the generation of dynamic and large quantities of mutants that were previously unattainable. In 2020, we patented the technology for generating mutagens using neutrons, and we are currently providing solutions not only for crop improvement in agriculture but also as a useful technology for the development of industrial microorganisms, catering to companies and research institutions engaged in biological breeding and variety development.
