The "HS Ball" is a low-expansion artificial sand made of alumina with high fire resistance (SK37 or higher) and low thermal expansion rate. The chemical composition of the general characteristics (representative values) is 68.4% Al2O3, 23.9% SiO2, and 3.3% Fe2O3, with a bulk density of 1.8 for loose filling and 1.9 for dense filling.
