Case Study: Improvement of Intersection Visibility Using Asphalt-Based Weed Control Sheet "Maclean Sheet(R)"
◆Customer's Concerns◆ - There were complaints about poor visibility at the T-junction where the prefectural road and city road intersect due to overgrown weeds. Additionally, the poor visibility posed a risk of accidents. ◆Points for Sheet Selection◆ - We adopted the McLean sheet as it is "highly durable" and less likely to "curl up." - Since it is near an intersection, curling of the sheet could lead to accidents, so we used "Hurricane Net" at the edges of the sheet. - For the edges on the concrete part, we used concrete pins to secure it firmly, not just through welding. - We used "Weed Control Rubber Coating" near the utility poles to address weed issues from the edges. ◆Customer Feedback◆ - Even after one year, the weeds are well suppressed. - There has been no curling of the sheet due to wind, allowing for safe passage.
