At that time, European flagship cars were beginning to adopt a beautiful appearance resembling machined aluminum, and we would like to introduce a case where this issue was resolved with resin plating. At that time, there were only completely matte platings available in Japan that did not reflect images, and there was no company with a proven track record of mass production using those chemicals. Therefore, at our new process development department, we were researching this chemical and developing a unique plating expression by combining it with other processes. We proposed a plating color with a distinctive aluminum appearance. A resin-plated product with a unique luster specific to the manufacturer was adopted, contributing to the enhancement of the interior quality of the automobile.
