<Osaka Event> - The Future of Energy and New Business Possibilities
Our company will hold a business seminar. Japan is resource-poor and has a low energy self-sufficiency rate, making the dual challenge of stable supply and decarbonization a pressing issue. The government has set a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 46% compared to 2013 levels by the fiscal year 2030 as part of its climate change measures. The Kansai Electric Power Group has developed a "Zero Carbon Vision 2050" in line with this national policy, aiming to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions from its business activities by 2050. To realize this vision, the group has set the fiscal year 2030 as an interim target and outlined specific initiatives and goals in the "Zero Carbon Roadmap." This lecture will provide a detailed explanation of these challenges and initiatives.
