Initial revision of the 2024 forecast, along with a review of the 2023 forecast!
On April 18, 2024, we published the latest edition of "Economic and Freight Transport Outlook," which we issue quarterly. This edition is titled "Economic and Freight Transport Outlook for Fiscal Year 2024" (Revised). In this outlook, we have revised the year-on-year growth rate (forecast) for freight transport volume in fiscal year 2024. Additionally, since the actual results for the second half of fiscal year 2023 (October 2023 to March 2024) have not yet been finalized, we have also reviewed and revised the forecast for fiscal year 2023. In this article, similar to previous posts, we will summarize the forecasts for foreign trade containers (maritime) and international air (aviation) transport volumes, including the revisions from the previous forecast (published in December 2023), discrepancies with the actual results for the October to December 2023 period, and the trends in the increase/decrease rates compared to pre-COVID (fiscal year 2019). *For more detailed information, please refer to the related links.
